1. Our Commitment
Namakkal Connect has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, or any activity that endangers children.
Namakkal Connect is a local discovery app for Namakkal district, Tamil Nadu, where people list businesses, jobs, notices, vehicles and services. Everything published in it is visible to the whole district, and we accept full responsibility for what appears there.
There is no context in which content that sexualises, exploits or endangers a child is acceptable on this platform. This standard applies to every part of the app — listings, job postings, area updates, photographs, profile information, advertisements and any message sent through it — and it applies equally to every user, including advertisers and administrators.
2. Prohibited Content and Conduct
You may not upload, share, post, promote, request, solicit, link to or distribute any content or conduct involving the exploitation or abuse of a child. This includes, without limitation:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form — photographic, recorded, drawn, animated, computer-generated or AI-generated.
- Any sexualised depiction or description of a minor, or content that presents a minor as an object of sexual interest.
- Grooming — building a relationship with a child, or with someone who has access to a child, in order to exploit or abuse them.
- Sextortion, or threatening to publish intimate images of a minor.
- Soliciting, offering, advertising or arranging sexual contact with a minor.
- Child trafficking, forced labour involving minors, or any listing that offers, recruits for or facilitates it.
- Advertising, requesting or trading in CSAM, including links, coded language or references to where such material can be obtained.
- Publishing a child's personal details, photographs, school or location in a way that puts them at risk.
- Any other content or behaviour that sexualises, endangers or facilitates harm to a person under 18.
These rules do not depend on intent. Content of this kind is prohibited whether it is posted seriously, as a joke, as a claimed test, or in a listing that is otherwise legitimate.

3. Reporting
Every listing, job posting and area update in the app carries a Report action. Anyone can use it — you do not need to be the person affected, and you do not need to explain yourself.
How to report inside the app
- Open the listing, job or update in question.
- Choose Report Listing.
- Select the reason and add any detail that helps us act.
- Submit. The report reaches our moderation queue immediately.
How to report by email
If you cannot reach the report action, or the matter is urgent, write to namakkalconnect@gmail.com with the subject "Child Safety Report". Please include a link or a description of where the content appears.
What happens next. Reports are reviewed by a human moderator. Where a report is upheld we take appropriate action, including removing the content, suspending or permanently banning the account, and reporting the matter to the relevant authorities where required by law.
Child safety reports are prioritised above all other moderation work. We aim to review them within 24 hours.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact the authorities first. In India, call the national child helpline 1098 (Childline) or the police on 112. Cybercrime, including CSAM, can be reported at cybercrime.gov.in. Reporting to us is not a substitute for contacting them.
4. Account Action
Accounts that violate these standards are acted on. Depending on the severity, we may:
- Remove the content immediately and without notice.
- Suspend the account while the matter is investigated.
- Permanently ban the account and block the person from creating another.
- Remove every other listing, posting and photograph associated with the account.
- Preserve the relevant records and report the matter to law enforcement or the appropriate authority where required by law.
For CSAE and CSAM, a permanent ban is the default outcome — not an escalation after warnings. We do not restore accounts banned on these grounds.
We cooperate with lawful requests from Indian authorities and, where applicable, with Google Play's child safety enforcement.
